Default WTB Planishing Hammer

Hello, I'm looking to buy a nice planishing hammer, preferably a proline or equivalent. Anything from a 24" or larger throat. I've been looking on ebay, craigslist and other forums for a couple years now and I haven't seen much for sale that's nice. So if anyone might know of something for sale please let me know! I can be email directly at Shefey87@Yahoo.com or you can message me on here.

Thanks

Hello, I'm building one like Proline. I bought the air hammer head off of Ebay for 795.00 and having the steel plates cut on water jet. They should be ready the pick up tomorrow. I can post photo's as I build it.

Thanks

Default Hammer

You might consider a hammer from tinmantech.com. It can be used for planishing, and by simply changing the motor, it can be used to form. Take a look at http://www.tinmantech.com/products/f...power-hammers/

I'm very happy with mine. This week a friend brought over a 14G bobber fender he'd purchased. It was a hair too narrow, so we just flared it slightly with the hammer.

Matt, you might take a look at the Jay Hayes kits.

http://allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=2063

Really well designed and thought out machine with input from some of the master shapers like Wray Schelin, Dutch Comstock, John Butenkirch, and many more back around 2001.

I had one for years but rarely use a phammer so I sold it last year.

the prices probably are not current but you can give Jay a call.
