Hey everyone sorry for the late notice but I would like invite the group members our metal shaping event here in our shop, Flock to the Shop will be held at our shop in Hastings Nebraska June 2nd, 3rd,& 4th! The shop is airconditioned so don't worry about the Nebraska heat. If you would like to attend say so here in this thread so I know what to prepare for, we will be capping attendance at 50 people. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE TO ATTEND THIS EVENT!!!!! But this is a working event so if you don't get your hands dirty you WILL NOT BE FED! So bring parts and pieces that you may want to see a different approach on or something that is giving you fits some one here will have a simple solution I guarantee it.
Breakfast, Lunch, snacks and refreshments will be provided all three days. Also there will be seminars all three days also, if you are interested in presenting a seminar please let me know and I will start putting together a schedule and floor plan for the seminars.
We will once again be doing our gas welding shootout, everyone that wishes to participate will gas weld the same size coupon as everyone else and our panel of judges will decide who the winner is. The winner will receive the traveling trophy that is to be surrendered by next years event. The trophy also comes with a cash prize that may or may not be glued to the trophy.
This year we will be adding two other activities to the event, a Tig welding shootout same rules apply as the gas welding shoot out.

This year also will have a project, I thought it would be fun to build a Bugatti type 35 body during the event sort of the way a coach building shop would have, 1 panel per man per day. This could be interesting as everyone does the things differently and to be able to see that done on several panels would be pretty cool! Also at the end of the event if it is a pile of panels or it looks like something we will draw names out of a hat and someone will take it home! Also the buck will be available to go out on loan this year so if you guys would like to build one at home, if multiple people are interested in taking the buck home for a year we will have a rock paper scissors tournament to determine who gets to take it home for the year!
