Default source for 3003 0.063 inch in MN

I've been using 5052 for motorcycle tanks and fenders but have struggle with planishing the welds without cracking. I TIG weld with 5356 filler.

I see the guys that use 3003 often use 1100 filler which I assume planishes down much easier.

Where do you get your 3003 in MN, Twin Cities area? The one local quote I got for a piece 3003 0.063 H14 48x72 inches was over $600. After always using 5052 drops for a fraction of that price I can't bring myself to pay that much but I would like to try some 3003 if I can get a better price than that.

600 bucks is absurd. Look elsewhere.

I have used Midwest for alum sheet. They are set up for large orders, they will work with you but be patient.

Market price is around what Bob quoted in his post. I just got a sheet of 3003 .063 for $338 through BMG Metals in Virginia.

Default Can you anneal tig welded aluminum to relieve cracking

Wondering if you can anneal a tig welded seam (after welding) it to minimise chances of it cracking during planishing?
