Default Guy from Utah

Hey Ladies and Gents,

New guy here, eager to learn the ways of metal shaping.

I've always been into fixing and modifying cars and trucks since i was a little boy. The projects have just become more and more complex the older I get.

I have some projects planned now that require some new skills that I'm hoping to learn soon with the help from the forum.

My first project is a custom dog hauler. You're probably thinking a hound type hauler for the back of a truck, but you'd be wrong. My dogs are like my children and i don't feel comfortable keeping them in the bed of a truck while I'm traveling so I purchased a large suv and plan to take out the seats and gut the interior and build a door/window guards and front and rear barriers. I'll post many pictures of this as i go.

My mig welding skills are pretty good but i would like to learn tig as well. But the reason i'm here is doing more custom work with sheet metal.

Thanks for letting me join and for all the future help.

Default Utah metal men.

A few years ago I lived in northern Utah and took a Panel fabrication class at UVU. over 65 the cost was only $ 100 - the instructor Cris "Boggess has a U tube of his willys truck and one of his students Chris Davenport built and all aluminum 40 willys as a class project
