quality equipment cheap
Anyone looking for vintage metalworking tools in the Chicago area? I just came from a sheetmetal shop that was in business from 1929 but has been closed for many years. The owner of the building is looking to clear out the contents and put the building up for sale. There are numerous stomp shears, brakes, jennies etc. Some of the brakes are 10 foot and one of the shears is at least 8 feet. These are all old and heavy but all looked in good condition. Pexto, Niagara, Whitney etc. There are piles of Pexto and Niagara "jennies". These can all be purchased for a little over scrap price. Located on the south side of Chicago on 59th street.

Do you have contact info for the shop? I'm looking for a decent brake.

Did he have any 48" or 54" stomp shears?
Thanks. Kevin
