Default Hi, from MN

Greetings from Ely, MN! I'm Rob and I am looking forward to learning as much as I can through this site. From what I've seen, there is some fine craftsmenship represented on the board. I've been learning the "metal" way of life through watching others, experimenting and through pain... My purpose is to improve my metal skills so that my projects, a '68 C-30, a '68 C-10 SWB and '55 2nd Gen 3100 truck turn out the way I want them to. I hope to find information that I need through the search area, as I don't make much time to chit chat...but I am not afraid to ask questions when needed.

Rob, welcome and thanks for the intro. Looks like you have enough projects to learn on. I you have a question on the metal shaping part of the projects just ask.

Thanks all...I'll be around checking things out.

So, Steve...how long have you been in Rapids? My family used to live down LaPlant Rd. and hung out with the LaPlants and Pattersons (Tim and Bill). This was in the late 60's, early 70's. Currently, I spend quite a bit of time playing music with Pat Surface as well. I would have checked in sooner but my oldest brother, Don, passed away on Sunday. He graduated from Rapids in '69.

What kind of projects are you working on?

Rob
