Default Of Interest: Serious wheel

This is an older post but I thought it very interesting. It's a powered wheel that "Has rolled 5083 aluminium plates to 8mm thick without a problem". That's 5/16" for those of us with the arcane scales often found in the USA:

I would love to see this thing in operation, I imagine a team operation, with one person in charge of steering?

thanks for the article, 8 mm 5083 is very hard stuff and it cracks if you bend it too sharp,
you are right in that they would have needed a team,
