Default English wheel for sale

I built this wheel from 4x4x1/4 tubing. Doubled backbone. Trussed. Castors are double locking for roll and rotation.

Steel 8x3 Upper (metalace) is forged, purchased from Ron Covell. 6 hoosier 2x3 lowers with flats, go kart slick, 6 hoosier full radius ptfe lowers for use with the go kart slick. Throat depth is 24" allowing you to wheel into the center of a 48" wide panel if need be. There is no perceptible run out on any of the wheels as you would expect from Joe and Metalace. Adjuster (Dewalt RAS) is 8tpi and allows no slop.

Upper cradle can be indexed to 90degrees if you want to wheel into the frame.

Lower cradle can be offset to align with the edge of the upper if you want to turn a flange upwards rather than downwards.

Peter Tommasini has used my English wheel and even though he prefers a cast wheel he has said that this is a good wheeling machine.

I think the components probably cost me more than the asking price of $950.

For pickup in the SF Bay Area, CA. PM me if interested.

That looks like a really nice wheel Ken, and at a very reasonable price. Have you put it on Terry Thorne's buy/sell FaceBook page?

Man I wish you were closer to Ohio. I'd buy it in a heart beat. Anyone want to pick it up and delivery it to me?

Hi Guys,
Thanks, it is a very stout wheel and works really well. Just ask Peter! I have a cast wheel as well and just have no need for two wheels and need the room so one has to go!
Bill, I'll look into that, but I'm not much of a facebooker......

What do you guys think of this design? wondering because I have a lot of 3X3 .250 around, and thinking about building a wheel.

Ken Might you have a set of plans for your wheel

Tks for your thoughts
