Hi Dave,

I am a Mechanic, I also did panel beating when I was doing my mechanics apprenticeship, but the place where I was working at closed down so I never became qualified, which is a shame because the Old fella there used to do all shaping and lead wiping, I was very fortunate that he did teach me that skill.
I sold my Auto Shop in 2012 and now do restos at home as well as tinker with all my own cars and bikes.
So much better, dealing with the one customer, rather than hundreds at a time.
I'm enjoying the fabrication/shaping and creating. and I'm a lot more casual and relaxed now, Definitely the way to be.
I'll see you in a couple of weeks.

Hansa,
I used 1.2mm Sheet, Strip cut into 40mm wide, folded 90 degrees and used Shrinker/strecher to shape, Then plug welded on the inside of the door frame.

Looks a lot neater than how the original where done, where they were spot welded to the top of the roof.
