...lot's to learn...
.... have always been a better grinder than a welder..... would like to progress my metal shaping "skills" as I ease into an active retirement.
Current objective is to finish an Alfa GTV6 restoration.....Mid term goal is to start a 1950's barchetta style roadster with Alfa GTV6 running gear....steel chassis / aluminum body. Have started to accumulate equipment (English Wheel, beater bags, mallets,......) next up will likely be ac/dc tig (to go along with the mig)....KMS just opened here in Calgary so a fair amount of metal shaping equipment is becoming available locally.... Also looking into cad software for low cost alternative to solidworks. My son is much better at some of that software and has figured out how to scam model cars with a kinnect (xbox scanner)....and load into "maya" Favorite online hangouts are BAT (Bring a Trailer), Garage Journal and Locost forums (US/UK). jamie
