Default Introduction

Hi, my name is Matt and I live in Sarasota, Fl. My interest in metal shaping goes back to my teen age years. When I was learning the welding craft. I always have wanted to build a roadster along the lines of the English& German automobiles of the early 30's. But powered by a Buick straight 8. I know that there is one close to me in Naples at the Collier Museum, The Bu-Merc, which is a Mercedes SSK with Buick running gear.

Welcome to the forum, Matt. (I did a few restos for Miles back when he was starting that museum. ) The BuMerc is but one of the old American-style homebuilts .... thinking of Frank Kurtis' first car ....
