Default Hello Everyone

My name is Devin and I am a chef living in Napa, California. When I have spare time, which is infrequent, I love working on old cars. I have just recently completed building a 1931 Model A roadster. The project took me almost 10 years and has been one of the most rewarding and frustrating experiences. I have learned a ton in the process and my skills developed much further towards the end of the build. Now that I'm finished, I realize where the deficiencies in my skills are and am always thinking about how I could do things better on the next project. Enter the 1950 Chevy Styleline coupe. I got the Chevy on a trade which really was almost free. Every panel on the car is rusty and will need repair or replacement. I would like to be able to make as many of the replacement panels as possible. The smart thing to do would be to walk away from the project, however I am looking forward to the challenge and the skills that I will acquire more so than just having another car. I joined AllMetalShaping to try to the best of my ability to glean what I can from the considerable knowledge here. I wish I had more to contribute but unfortunately I am just a newbie. If anyone here is in my neck of the woods, I have wood fired pizza and cold beer in exchange for knowledge and advice!
