Default Hello from Minnesota

Hello, from yellowbullet forum, people have pointed me over here for advice/ideas. Did a tube chassis on my 67 Caprice, and am doing the sheet metal work now and dont have to much of a creative imagination for the firewall and what not. Here for some ideas and pointers!

Welcome to the forum John . Where are you at in Minnesota? Get ahold of me and stop on down sometime and I can talk to you about your project.

Show some pictures of where you are on it

Welcome John....I had a 67 Caprice, one of the smoothest riding cars I ever drove. Still have the 396 out of it....putting it in a Jeep...lol. Your project sounds cool, post pics when you get a chance!

Here are a few pictures. I have never done anything like this before, basically got the car about 2 years ago and it was just going to be a stock suspension, 10" tire turbo junk yard LS set up. Well like 2 weeks later I had the frame cut in half and did a back half, now I am on to a tube chassis that I completed this spring and am getting started on the sheet metal work now. I give major props to people that are good with sheet metal, defiantly way more difficult for me than building the chassis was. But here are some pictures.

This is what it was when I was done with the back half, and basic body restoration and what not. Just had an N/A SBC in it.

Here is the 25.4B chassis.

Now I am starting on the sheet metal. Got a bead roller a couple months ago and am starting to get the hang of it. I have since changed the firewall up some.

This is kind of the current plan on the fire wall. Mainly got involved on this forum for ideas and opinions on what to do for sheet metal work like this with basic tools.

But anyways, that kind of gives you a quick idea of what I got going. Any questions just ask!
