Default New guy in the north

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum, I found the site while looking for information about making an English wheel. I'm building a 1948 chevy truck hotrod, and a English wheel would make shaping so much easier. I'm hoping to learn some new things by joining the forum

Jon

John I built my own. William Longyard just published a book on the English wheel and there is a chapter on making a wheel. You can find it on amazon or look on this site. Stay away from tne harbor freight/ princess auto wheeling machines. The people who make them have no idea what they are for or what is required. Bill recommends making your own frame and buying good anvils which is what I did and it worked for me. Hoosier Profiles makes excellent ones, worth the money. PM me if you have any questions. Also check out Bill's youtube channel for great wheeling and shaping videos.
