Originally they used the model A . Many still built it with that engine. Most now use either continental 65 to 85 hp and corvair 85 to 110 hp. Bernard Pietenpol was the first to convert an automobile engine for aircraft use (model A) and also first to convert the Corvair for an airplane.
Im using the Corvair engine and since its horizontally apposed need to shape some sporty teardrops on sides of cowling for the heads. Air inlet at each front of teardrop.
