New guy from Portland Oregon

Hey everyone. I am new to the site and metal working. I am a mechanical engineer by trade and build motorcycles in my spare time. I am interested in learning to work with metal and would like to build my own tank, fenders,headlight buckets,seat pans and cowls, etc. I would also really like to learn to weld as I know I will need to in order to do this. I don't have lots of money so am looking to learn hand tools as a start. I do have access to machine shops and welding equipment at work so will eventually use the machines there. I am looking forward to learning and appreciate the knowledge of all the users willing to share.
