Hello all. I'm Alan from North London, England. Been peeping through the window here for the best part of a year now, but finally plucked up the courage to knock on the door...

Late last year I bought David Gardiner's DVD on recommendations seen on the forum, and I was not disappointed. Have asked David to make some parts for me when he gets the chance.

I've got several automotive projects on the go at the moment, but they all share a theme in being late Sixties / early Seventies 'period-correct' Japanese cars, and sports / race themed at that. One of them has ( rather frighteningly now I add it up ) been over ten years in build; a replica of the super-lightweight Nissan 'Fairlady Z432-R'. The factory code for the Z432-R was 'PS30-SB', and that's where my forum user name comes from. The Z432-R was built and sold just to homologate the model for Japanese domestic sports car racing, and less than 25 cars were built. There's very little accurate data about them in the English language, and replicating one has been a struggle. Some of the smaller parts - even down to the level of brackets and fittings - have been more tricky to replicate and/or source than the big bits like the correct drivetrain. It's only when you start digging the hole that you realise you don't know how deep the hole needs to be!

However, I feel like I can almost see the end of the tunnel now, and with the kind of help of others I think I'll get there. Thank you!
