Default Newbie from Virginia

Hi, names Dan and I'm from Fredericksburg, VA. I've attended a couple of shop gatherings put together by OJ Higgins that had demonstrations from members MP&C and James Bowler. They recommended this site as just about everything I do revolves around Pre-1964 American cars, primarily hot rod/custom stuff. Rust repair and minor body modifications are the most common type of metalwork I do but I'd really like to learn more about making intricate panels and metal finishing.

The current metalworking projects are a 1952 Chevy 2 door sedan that's in the process of getting front fender bottoms, door bottoms, inner rockers, outer rockers, partial quarters, and some minor body modifications.

A 1953 Mercury 2 door hardtop that's in the process of getting front fender bottoms, inner rockers, outer rockers, body mounts, partial floor pan and minor body modifications.

A 1950 Ford 4 door sedan I converted to a 2 door sedan and am currently chopping the top 3" in front and 4" in rear. It's gonna need the standard rust repair as well.

Think that's all for now. Thanks for having me and looking forward to some new knowledge!

-Dan
