Default Hello, New Guy from Grand Rapids, Michigan

Hello, I am Steve Fidler from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have been in the custom metal work business for 27 years. Mostly in the fabrication of stainless steel food service equipment and custom metal furniture. In the past few years I have been working on learning more about the use of automotive and aircraft type processes for forming compound curves on thicker gauge stainless steel for architectural metal work and artwork. I am studying the use of larger English wheels to put compound curves in thicker stainless steel sheets like 1/8, 1/4" and 3/8". I also want to learn more about the use of power hammers to form compound curves in 14 ga stainless steel. I would also like to learn more about how the ship builders form compound curves in very thick steel.
