Default Hi from Edmonton

Hello,My name is Paul. I have been married for 22 years to my best friend, and we have three kids aged 16,18 and 20. I live near Edmonton Alberta .
I am, and always have been an admirer of old school craftsmanship, I aspire to learn new skills, and I have always especially loved metal shaping. I started out more than 20 years ago as a goldsmith, and loved casting and manipulating gold and silver. After starting a family I have spent time in several trades from millwright and bodywork to carpentry and cabinet making. I currently design and build basements out of steel as an alternative to concrete.
I have always had a love for old cars, and I am working on a 1953 2 1/2 ton truck mounted on an 86 dually pickup chassis powered by a 500 cad.
I also have a 57 airstream waiting for restoration/modification. The look I am going for is an imaginary shop truck for Airstream, built by a guy who built airplanes during ww2. I don't want a cheezy look but rather functional, classy craftsmanship featuring aircraft style construction. Lots of rivets ,and cool shapes. I am on a low budget, having spent the last year trying to get the new company going, so I take my time and I build most of my own tools, which is half the fun anyways. I look forward to learning allot here, and hopefully my contributions some day may help some of you.
Regards, Paul
