Default Metal Masters

This was the name of my business before I retired 11 years ago. It was bestowed upon me by people who I thought were the best in my area. Having worked for most all of them over a 25 year peroid I considered it a creat honor to have final out done most all of them. I did wear the name humble. My work started in 1982 when there were almost no after market parts. So you made it by hand. If I tell you that my first auto was a 1909 International Harvester Speedster you may note there is very little metal in the car at all, oak frame rails to wood body. Yes this was a time before Eastwood Co.as well. Having watched tha restoration industry bloom to most all parts now available this has left a small hole in my heart. So I bash tin and talk about the old days.
