Hello. My name is Stan and I am a mechanical engineer with almost 25 years of experience. I have zero years, however, of working with my hands so I am here to learn.

I caught the chopper and air cooled VW bug (no pun intended) late in life. I am very interested in machining, welding, and metal forming of numerous types but am inexperienced and ignorant, but I am very eager to learn!

I would like to be a member so I can learn how to make functional parts for my hobbies and maybe a twilight career.
