Default Introduction

Hello all,
I am at the infancy stage of learning about metal shaping. How I got here is my desire to build a gas tank for a Honda CB550 café bike. This is where I realized to accomplish this I would have to build an English Wheel. But I am getting ahead of myself. Three years ago I bought a 1970 Camaro Z28 to restore. My buddy sent me a NASCAR SB2 motor which unfortunately did not fit - dry sump, motor plates, etc. To get this engine to fit I found a local chassis shop that modified my frame and built a custom set of headers. I became friends with the owner who taught me how to tig weld. I love welding and it has opened the door for all sorts of cool projects. My last project was a hydraulic lift table for the café bike project. So, a new door is opening - metal shaping - which is why I joined your forum. Thanks for allowing me to join!
