Default Hi

My name is Bubba, I live in Manning South Carolina. I have been been doing metal fabricating, and welding for about 22 years. The thing about it though, is I have only worked with straight metal. The only tools I have used for shaping was a break, torch, and a welding machine. I have always wanted to do more, but was too intimidated to do shaping with a hammer. I have always wanted an english wheel, planishing hammer, strecher, and such, but couldnt afford them.

Well i found that harbor freight has a planishing hammer for under $100 bucks, so I picked one up the other day. I have been playing with it a little, and watching a lot of youtube videos. I even saw a guy that makes a stretcher anvil for the HF planishing hammer. I'm going to have to save my allowance for a couple of weeks to get me one of them, it looks like it does a great job.

Anyways
The reason I'm here is to get pointers, on my new metal shaping endeavor. I think yall may have a lot to offer a new shaper.
