Default looking for fellow shapers in Iowa

I am a new guy here, this seems to be the best site I have found to date. I hoe to gain more knowlage here about powerhammers and design. I recently moved here and am working on making my garage a usable space. My quest for an elusive hosed powerhammer has turned up no leads so I am considering building my own from scratch. So if any one has any information on yoders or pettingells or even parts plead pm me !!! Thanks.

Welcome from Sioux Falls. There's some good reading here on powerhammers. Start at the forums page and click on the powerhammers forum. You'll get this http://allmetalshaping.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31 .
Rockhillwill has a very well documented build thread here http://allmetalshaping.com/showthrea...t=3261&page=19 . It's no small project starting from scratch.

You need to ask yourself, is this the tool I realy need?

Hi Joshua,

I'm in Des Moines and mostly just been lurking and learning. Been involved in heavy metal fab for alot of years but this shaping is all new to me. Lots to learn here. I'd really like to attend an event and meet some of the folks and actually see some of this stuff done in person.
