My name is Clark. I live in Draper, Utah, just south of Salt Lake City. I have a long-time interest in cars and motorcycles, and some limited experience with steel body work. Motivated by a recent motorcycle project, I'm interested in shaping some small aluminum panels from scratch. I'm hoping this forum will help me pick up some skills and techniques for such an undertaking. Thanks!

Hello Clark, welcome to allmetalshaping. Shaping aluminium is much the same as steel, it is softer so easier if anything. It is the welding that can make aluminium work harder. Because it is not possible or desirable to make all parts in one piece learning to gas weld aluminium is the first thing I recommend.
