Default New guy from Texas

Hello everyone. My name is Bob and I live in Waxahachie, Texas. I'm new to metal working unless you count the metal garden trowel I hammered into existance back in seventh grade metal shop. I've worked in electronics, telecommunications and general engineering shops over the last 35 years or so. I love bicycling and have commuted thousands of miles. Motorcycling is a passion of mine also and I would love to be able to fabricate side covers, tail pieces, fuel tanks, etc. for the bikes I have. I am still in awe of hand formed aluminum fuel tanks that are so perfect they don't require painting. I love to tinker with my bikes as much riding. Puttering around in my garage/shop on various projects fills my off hours. I would also like to develop welding skills and have just purchased a small Lincoln 110V MIG welder. At this time I have not yet set the shop on fire. So far so good.

Welcome fellow texan. We're getting more and more texans in here, we might need to see about organizing a meeting.
