Hello, I'm new to metal working. I'm interested in learning to make fenders and panels to repair a rusty old truck. Anyone in the DC area willing to show a newbie a few things to get me started?

Thanks

Fred, welcome to the site. If you do a search there are quite a few threads on making fenders.. Also, I see you're not too far from Berryville, on March 10th OJ Higgins is opening up his place to hold some demos/workshops. See the thread here...

Thanks for the welcome.

Robert, that looks like a great learning event for me. I will try to make it. I've enjoyed your posts over on Garage Journal.

Brent, the truck is a Suzuki LJ81. It was made in 1981, so it isn't really that old. Here's a pic from when I first got it.
