Default New guy in town

Good evening,
Where to start, I guess the beginning. Since 7th grade I’ve been in love with metal working, but in 8th grade I realized wood was a much easier medium to work with. A lot of my project of the past two decades have been wood based, but metal was always in the back of my mind. Three years ago I bought Miller Syncrowave 200 and a semester of TIG welding at the local community college. Last year I bought a set of Martin hammers & dollies I also bought a shrinking disc. My last two projects were an OTC 17½ Twin Ram press http://www.machinistweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1000 and freshening up an old Atlas lathe http://www.machinistweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1409. I hope I will make some new friend and learn to be a tin pecker.
Bill

Welcome to Allmetalshaping!! You'll get alot of use out of the lathe and press doing the metalshaping. Nice job on the machines!! I have a lathe just like that, same color and all. Not that clean though. It's a nice machine.
