My name is Knut B. Solberg, I have been building motorcycles and cars on my spare time for about 10 years. I like finding my own solutions and making custom parts. For a long time I have dreamt of having all the tools i need to shape sheet metal.
This summer me and 2 friends pooled our resources to set up a custom shop with metalshaping tools and now I am looking forward to learn from you guys.

Here is a picture of our workshop as it is now. My 2 friends are working on a Plymouth hotrod an I am working on a Harley bagger and a chopper.
My first challenge is making filler panels between the bags and rear fender, as you can see i have started making cardboard templates.. Shop1.jpg Chopper.jpg Bagger.jpg

Welcome to the forum, Knut.
It's pretty incredible what can be done with very basic quality tools, oxygen/acetylene gas welding equipment and lots of practice. Looks like you've already got a lot of clear floorspace in your shop. That's one of the most basic necessities that most of us either never have or don't keep...

Thanks Cliff
![]() Floorspace was a hot topic when we were setting up the shop. We have set up a clear line where we dont allow things on the wall etc. and so far it works. We also try to make most of the tools movable so we can put them aside when they're not in use. We have Oxy/Acetylene, Mig and Tig for welding tho I need a lot more training with Tig and Oxy/Acetylene. For metalshaping we have invested in a full set of used Lazze equipment, English wheel, shrinker / stretcher and bead roller. In addition to that we got a hold of a "pneumatic plate shearer", small handle operated shearer, one very old hand operated bead roller and an antique roller we are planning to make different lower rollers for (maybe for rolling square tubing) Now we have to learn to use all this, and I'm very grateful for getting access to this forum and the opportunity to learn from you all ![]() Ewheel.jpg Lazz.jpg Bender.jpg Old2.jpg Old1.jpg Old3.jpg
