Default Hi from southern Illinois

I have been working on cars one form or another since I was 16 and I am now 41 so that is a quarter century. I have done some patch panel work in the past and have patched some floorboards but have never gotten into the custom fab metal work until now. I have a friends car, 72 impala sedan, that I want to paint and finish.

I took the trim off the rear glass and there were a couple of holes so I thought I could just patch them up but after taking the glass out and cleaning all the junk out of the channel I found myself staring at a mess.

I was going to farm the work out but the person that was going to do the work was kind of flaky and I signed up for a semester of school at the local community college and I am learning to manipulate metal
