Default New from Southern California

Hello all,

Im in the process of joining now, hope I make it. I'm into motorcycles and I enjoy restoring old things and I like to camp and go boating. I've always been interested in all kinds of metal work, my father was a machinist so I guess thats were it all started. I'm hoping to learn more about metal shaping and maybe in the future build something fun, either usefull or garage art.

Thanks,

Chuck

Hi Chuck, Welcome to the forum.

I'm probably as or older than your father, do machine work on a worn mini lathe in my basement, do blacksmithing in my garage, and shape sheet metal as needed for my projects. Camping as an obligation to my SO but she likes car camping, I like wilderness hiking, my neighbor works nights-weekends so smithing is under a cloud, ahh, we all live within limits, stretch yours, as I do mine.

some one has a metal bashing meet southern cali this late summer, hmm where is the link to that...
