Hello. My name is Charles Erwin.

I have a very small shop and currently am restoring a Jeep Wagoneer Limited - to say nothing of making other early date auto sheet metal panels for friends. Since the shop is very small the tool approach is very simple - stump from the yard, wood hammers (mallets) also from the yard, post dollies, hand dollies, hammers, slappers accumulated over the years. All my welding is gas welding. Have grown tired of hand planishing panels - so I will end my shop tooling acquisitions once I find a quality english wheel in the half size version so to speak. I look forward to seeing what others with "small shop - big job" attitude are producing.

			Hi Charles,

Welcome to the site. I also work out of a small shop using a small English wheel. This shark http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showp...52&postcount=1 is the largest project I have managed to produce out of my current shop, using many tools I made myself. I hope you find the site valuable. |

Hi Charles, welcome to the group. I too live in Portland, Oregon. I do have a problem, it's an English wheel, a "Fornier"(spelling) but no place to use it. Might we get together? 5zero3 86zero 8zero63

Welcome. I am very jealous of your location in respect to the availability of good used auto sheet metal. I have looked at Craigslist in your area due to an Australian company exporting out of there. I am also looking for ideas for a small English wheel.
