Hello, I have been a machinist for 29 years and also have a small shop at my home where my son and I make parts for pulling tractors. We make mostly transmission gears, needled differentials and custom tractor parts. I am wanting to learn about metal spinning. I used my metal lathe to do some aluminum spinning and we are now in the process of building a homemade spinning lathe to spin polished aluminum wheel covers for pulling tractors. If it goes well we might even start building aluminum wheels. These wheel covers are going to be about 40" in dia.
I am looking forward to running a few questions that I have by you guys that are experianced in metal spinning.
