Default newbie from the uk

Hi Metalshapers,
I'm Ian (our e) to friends and family, and I live in Tamworth right in the centre of England.
I'm a photographer by profession but have been into restoring old cars since 1976. My current project is a rusty old 1946 Fordson van.
I thought I'd join the group as I intend to try my hand at a few metal garden sculptures and think this might be the perfect place to pick up a few tips.

Ian

Ian, you're definitely in the right place to learn, it's truly amazing some of the work that is displayed on these pages. Welcome from a fellow Brit who's not a million miles from you.

The Fordson van sounds interesting, they were a popular base for custom cars in the 1970's when I was growing up.

Gareth

Hi Ian,
Welcome aboard, great stuff to learn here, although it might take years to sink in.
Nice to know of another West Midlander signing on.
I'm in Aston, Brum just off spaghetti junction, so you are only 10mins up the M42 from me.
It would be great to know how many other metal tinkerers are around here, must be loads, after all with Longbridge (Austin Rover) and Jaguar Land Rover in our midst we should be tripping over em!
