Default Hello everyone! My name is Ralf...

I have been involved with metal for almost forty years. I started gas welding when I was 13. Started welding sheet metal, on cars 3 years later. I have owned, and operated my own auto repair shops since 1983. My prime focus doing fine metal repair on special interest cars. I have always been trying to improve my skills in this. I also do some paint, I do more spot repairs, and blind repairs than anything else. My background in ground up restoration has enabled me to do more focused fine repairs that are almost, or invisible.
I also have a background in the mechanical repair aspect. I have been involved in numerous performance rebuilds, that also are tweaked for the most power, without making the car loose have of it's fasteners. I worked in the automotive machine shop for a period of time, giving me a unique viewpoint that most mechanics never see. Also was an assistant manager in a busy muffler shop. I don't own or operate a shop presently, but still do the occasional special job for certain shops that require fine repairs to certain collectible, or special interest cars. My experience in welding started with gas, then to TIG, and MIG, of which I still possess equipment in each of these.
I have a hobby which also keeps me busy at times repairing, or restoring vintage chainsaws. I own at least 30, most are Stihl. Also I have a varied different interest, or interest in things that I cannot possibly mention all here. I might mention things occasionally that I have a keen interest in later, that don't come to mind presently, so forgive me for that. Oh, I do have a fairly serious interest in Mopar muscle cars. I have been involved with exotics in varied depth. I'll let you guy's know more as we go on.
