Default English Nostalgia

Hi to everyone on the forum

Cant recall how I came across this forum......think it was via The Hamb.

I spend a lot of my time scouring the internet looking for solutions in metal forming etc etc and at 58 years old I am still learning.

After taking a retirement package from my Engineering maintainence job I started building and restoring Nostalgia race cars and formed my company www.stamfordspeedshop.com.

I just about keep my head above water at the moment as the UK has a tiny Nostalgia Drags scene compared with the states. I even tried to move things along with my own Blown nitro smallblock slingshot a few years back hoping to drag some others with me, but no one was interested. I eventually got into the sixes and was asked by the 1320 group to join up and become a member which was a huge thrill for me as all my idols when I was a teen are members also.

Although proficient at working with metal, I am not an expert by any means and find myself scrapping pieces by not paying attention.......hence joining this forum.

At the moment I have too many saved projects, and have just decided to have a clear out and finish just one...........a smallblock chevy cacklecar, as there are none here in europe.....when I say cacklecar, I mean one that runs 85% pop.....I'll keep you all posted.
Regards
Johnny Hall
