Hi All. Ed Walter from Twin Bridges Montana. A jack-of-all, master of some. Career computer geek, soon to be retired and able to pursue my real passion which is artistic metal working. I'm a fairly able blacksmith and also did about 10 years as a bodyman/painter doing customs cars and restorations, and I still do an occasional project car if I find the right deal.
I've never done a lot of freeform metal shaping but want to incorporate some into my metal artwork, hence my joining this group. First project I'm wanting to dig through the forums on is building an english wheel. Forming sheet metal with anvil and hammer is just not getting me what I want. ![]() Glad to be here and hope to learn a lot.
