Default New member - from Seattle and into vintage trailers

Good day all -

I just joined the forum and am excited to have found this reservoir of knowledgeable folks.

My name is Dina, and I live near Seattle WA. I am restoring a 1967 Streamline Duke travel trailer - and as it has a LOT of aluminum parts, am interested in the knowledge and resources in this forum to help me get ramped up and augment my current skill set.
Details such as putting a bead/groove on a piece of T3 allclad aluminum 22 feet long would be a typical interest of mine...
Knowledge in general, both given and taken is the reason I joined the forum. Hopefully, in time..i might be able to give back as I gain skill.

thanks for reading,
Dina

Dina, welcome and thanks for the introduction. Hope you enjoy the site and find the information you are looking for. You will be working with a slit coil and non flattened product if you get a piece 22 feet long. A lot will depend on the width of the piece that you are trying to put the bead in. Narrow width will be a lot easier that a wide piece. Need to know more information on the bead and sheet size to give more help. Thanks for joining us.

Hi Dina sounds like an interesting project.Any photos every one likes.photos.I fear you will not find 2024 t3 in a 22 feet length the biggest t3 sheet is 4 x 12 feet .Perhaps you could do it in two lenghts.
