Hello,
Bought an old sportster awhile ago which led to me buying a bolt on hard tail which led me to me buying a welder and hard tailing it which led me to buying a pipe bender and bending bars which led me to want to make gas tanks and fenders which well brought me here! Oh, there is also the, “had to buy a lathe” to make my own bungs which meant I had to learn how to cut my own tooling and well, I’ll leave that story for a different website. I have been struggling a bit with tuck shrinking metal with a set of forks I made and hope to get a glimpse of how it’s done so I can make a one off sportster tank that doesn't look like it was used as a hack-e-sack. I’m a HVAC/R commercial tech with a mechanical troubleshooting back ground. Danny |
