Default Norm wuz here

I manage theaters here in California, and each time a new one is built, someone paints "Norm wuz here" so I thought I'd open with that here on All Metal Shaping.

I have a car addiction - having about over 25 cars, everything from Model T parts, 26 Dodge Sedan, 32 Ford rat rod truck, bunch of 55 Chevy's, etc. Why 'Normad'? because I'm building a 55 Nomad gasser, and I think I have more work into it that Chevy did, and I'm not close to done. Here's a link showing how I did the all steel tilt front end.

Default About time

Norm is a buddy of mine and we do a lot of things together. Between he and Keith King, I think they've built 8 teardrop trailers. Keith's daily driver is a '56 Chevy put onto a late model Chevy Impala ex police car chassis - lots lower. Norm's daily driver is 'Betsy' a 55 Chevy he's had since he was 16. It is tubbed, had a Camaro from frame clip and a 468 with 4 speed.

We'll get Norm to post up some picture's of Henry - his 32 Ford PU rat rod pretty soon. 4" chop, patch panels made with HF bead roller, channeled, home built frame, radiator mounted in the rear, bed tilts up, hemi, etc, etc. He's pulled the teardrop from northern CA to Winfields, Las Vegas and other places with it - it doesn't see a trailer. Had 8 duece's on it, but right now has two 4's.

Projects are never ending at Norm's Speed Shop where it's F.A.B (frosty adult beverage) time.

Default Henry

This is my wife's truck. It is not a daily driver its more of a every few days when she needs a change of pace driver. We did not start with much so it was difficult to know at the time exactly what year it was. Henry is registered as a 32 however it may actually be a 33. No matter,,, the engine is a 1958 Hemi the trans is a powerglide from John's 67 Chevelle Wagon and the rear end is out of a 63 galaxy. I am not really into the period correct or numbers matching, seems like too much to deal with.I just use what ever I can find.
