Default G'Day

Hi everyone, I have been a member for quite some time now.
I am building Lotus replica of sorts and am making the nosecone and bonnet/hood one piece tilt at front.
Would anyone be able to tell me why my oxy/accet welding is cracking along the weld. I am using store bought rods 5356. Thanks in advance.

How are you taking, and how and from where are you welding??
I think I know the problem post some pics of the taking and mark where you start welding from
Peter
PS you should use the same ally that you are using by just cutting a strip and use it as rod

Thanks Peter for the quick reply. I cut a length off the parent metal and welded with that all good no cracks, now all I have to do is not blow so many holes.
