Default Another Aussie...

Hello!

My name is Savio and live in the outer eastern "urban fringe" of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

I have an engineering background, mostly in the automotive industry, recently focused on management of a manufacturing site producing steering columns and components.

I have had a lot interest in metal work, particularly as it applies to automotive - cars, bikes and trucks - and while I have generally dabbled in rust repairs and basic panel work, when I was shown how to form metal just using basic hammer work, using some prebent reinforcing steel rods for "puckering" and shrinking, a hollowed out tree trunk as a form for curves and an English Wheel I was hooked....I have to admit my imagination is certainly much larger than my current skill level but I really hope that joining this community will hopefully allow me to learn from, apply and contribute to the collective knowledge base here.

Looking forward to many interesting exchanges going forward....thanks in advance for everyone's feedback (and patience)!

Savio

Invention is a combination of brains and materials.
The more brains you use, the less materials you need.
