| Old Hot Rodder from Arizona

Hi all, I just found out about this site and hope to learn from you all. I am about ready to install the back half on my Maverick and last time I welded was in my 20's (54 now). I also plan to do body work using metal on both my SCCA Roadster and 70 Maverick. I have a lot to learn and hope to learn here and maybe make local connections. I used to build cars "back in the day" and love to "tinker". I had worked up to about 8 years ago when the doctors put me out to pasture. I've survived a lot longer than the doctors thought and need to keep busy so I don't drive my family nuts... Due to illness it takes me a really long time to complete tasks, but I just keep plugging along. John |

Hi John, welcome to the forum. I'm new to metalshaping myself, and find this site an inexhaustible source of learning. Though you are a bit young to be driving your family nuts, in a few more years, it will become an inalienable right. Keep proving those doctors wrong and my regards to Arizona (I grew up in Phoenix).
