Default Apparently bad @ following directions

Hey guys. . . My name is Jason and I'm in central Florida (please don't judge me based on that).

Been around here & metalmeet for awhile, but just to the point of actually digging in w/ the stuff I've (thought I've) learned.

I'm about 80 miles south of Ocala. Right in between Tampa & Orlando.

Lakeland? Plant City? Clermont? Do you know about the Sun-n-Fun flyin coming up next week at Lakeland Linder Airport? There is a small but cordial group of metalshapers that put on a week long hands on Metalshapers Workshop at the flyin. Drop by and see us or come be a part of the group. We have a lot of fun and give hundreds of attendees a new skill set as metalshapers. That is really the fun part. Watching the joy in their eyes as they discover that they can shape metal. Even at 80+ years of age. That is a really special experience.

Hi Jason,

I'm in Mt Dora which isn't exactly next door, but not too far either.

I'm in Auburndale, the next town east of Lakeland. I definitely know of sun-n-fun. If I can make it, it would be for only one day. Is there any one day that would be the most beneficial? Especially for a beginner?

Hey Jim, now that they finished that toll road (429?) it's not that far at all.

If you can avoid the weekend crowd would be best. Friday may be bad. Last year a aviation school dumped (unannounced) at least a hundred of their students on us. It was terrible. They have at least contacted us this year and it may be friday that they will be there. We haven't decided how we will handle it this year.
If you don't care about the airshow, we are slow during that. That starts at 2:00. We cycle students through in 20-30 minutes. They learn how to shrink and stretch and some do reverses and try the bead roller and other tools that Mittler Bros. loans us for the week. They leave with a bowl and dirty hands. And a smile! Some stay longer and some return every year. Some bring airplane parts to work on. There is more going on than just the bowls.
And George Biang will be set up teaching aluminum welding (oxy-acetylene).
Stick around all day if you want. Just be sure to introduce yourself when you come. Carey
