Default Do I dare?

I've bought a 50 year old Lotus Elan frame made of large box sections of 1/16 inch sheet metal with some 1/8 inch crossmembers and uprights supporting the springs and wheels.

The frame must be straightened a bit and lengthened 4 1/8 inches to fit an earlier Lotus Elite body and modern engine, etc.

With little experience, I may try to do the metalwork myself or give it to a pro.
