I’ve watched many videos over time of shrinking with the disc, but as I mentioned just never purchased or tried one.

Heat control is the main thing over a torch.
The 5" I can get inside the door and other tight places over the 9". Also can use it one handed and have the air gun in the other. On the roof panel I didn't even use the air gun and worked well with no hardening from cooling too quick. All about preference and where it is being used. Low crown and 0.9mm steel was better without using the air to cool it. It is going to shrink either way. Don't heat to more than honey colour either as found the same hardening problems of the surface. Just my experience with it anyway.
