Everyone says that Gas welding is best for what I want to do so that is what I want to learn first when I start classes. I have used cutting torch's but never welded with them. I read about stick welding thin sheet metal on the metalmeet site and tryed it.They said to use 2 rods and run one in front of the other to keep from blowing holes. I got it to work but it took a lot of trys and several rods. I'll get better at it as I do it. I dont own a torch yet so Im learning what I can with the stick welder right now.
