Hi Jeff,
Welcome to the forum.
The P9 is physically a big machine, and so from my experience I think a P5 would be good for your 16 and 18ga steel. The P3/13 would be a little light. P7 would be okay. The P21 would be overkill in physical size, but does P5 level work.
