Dutch, I used to race modifieds with cut down model a bodies with a small block chevy
. We race MOD 4's now a smaller modified with a 2300 4 cylinder Ford 200+ HP and we buzz the up to 8200 . They run a 3/8 mile track 16.7 - 17 seconds. The super stocks run at 17 seconds they weigh 2450# Mod 4 weighs 1650# with the driver. I don't recall spending as much then as I do now on the racing
